Vinnie Silber began coaching gymnastics while in middle school and by the end of high school, he was an assistant team coach.  After graduating from college with a BA in Elementary Education, he started teaching school full time while still coaching.

After two years of teaching school Vinnie decided to devote his full attention to gymnastics.

He remained with his original gym for over 14 years, 5 of those years as Head Coach/Team Director, before exploring other coaching opportunities.

In his time as a gymnastics coach Vinnie has coached many State and Regional All-Around and Event Champions including having athletes attend Level 8 and 9 Regional Championships as members of the NY State team.

In 2006, after almost 20 years of coaching, Vinnie took another step in his gymnastics career by becoming a women’s gymnastics judge.  He is currently rated as a USA Gymnastics Women’s Level 10 judge.

Vinnie has judged many state meets, the Special Olympics, and has also been an auxiliary judge at UF home meets, NCAA National Championships, SEC Championships, and the Nastia Liukin Cup.

He has a MBA in Sport Business from Saint Leo University and has completed courses or received certifications from USA Gymnastics in the following; Safesport, Safety & Risk Management, USA Gymnastics Instructor, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics: Junior Olympic Team Coach, Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction, and Women’s Meet Director.

Vinnie is a professional member of both USA Gymnastics and the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges.

Vinnie is a member of the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges – FL State Board (2010 – 2016, 2018 – present) and was a member of the USA Gymnastics – FL State Board as section 2 Co-Representative from 2010 – 2016.
