After a dismal performance at the most recent World Championship, Romania is bringing back two coaches that left coaching the Romanian team a few months ago.
Returning as the Romanian gymnastics team’s coaches are Octavian Bellu and Mariana Bitang which was confirmed by Carmen Tocala, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MTS). As the former Romanian gymnastics coaches, they coached Romania to 4 Olympics, 12 World Championships, and 9 European Championships.
The task now for Bellu and Bitang is to get the Romanian team ready to qualify to the 2016 Rio Olympics at the Olympic test event in April. This is a result of the Romanian team not finishing in the top 8 at the 2015 World Championships.
