New Required Training for USA Gymnastics Professional/Instructor Members

USA Gymnastics is now requiring a new training for some membership roles beginning with the 2017-2018 competitive season.

The U110 USOC SafeSport course will now be required for all Instructor and Professional members who are over the age of 18.  This course is free to current USA Gymnastics members and will need to be completed every two years.

The U110 USOC SafeSport course discusses misconduct in sports which includes identifying and reporting of sexual and non-sexual misconduct including bullying, hazing, and harassment.

The course includes 4 required Quizzes and a Final Exam.

In addition to this new course, the following are also required for membership with USA Gymnastics:

  • Criminal background check (Instructor and Professional memberships)
  • U101 – Safety & Risk Management course (Jr. Professional & Professional memberships)
  • U100 Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction (Jr. Professional & Professional memberships)
